Hey there, Stitchers! Nick the Stitch here to bring a little insanity for your coffee. It's been a long month, thank goodness it's October in about 4 hours here because I've had more than enough of September (feel free to crack open a cold one to celebrate, save one for me!)
So I've been quiet for too long, but I am grateful you're still around. Here's some things I would be honored to share with you....
...Nine Mile Pond Festival at Lake Lillian, to be honest, was a badly-managed experience. I won't go into all the details (sparing the tiny town of Belleview, FL some much-deserved embarrassment), but let's just say that sharing the block with THREE OTHER MAJOR EVENTS right next to us was NOT worth the $35 booth fee. In addition, there was a lack of consistancy about a lot of things that really didn't sit well with a lot of us vendors. If you're thinking, "Gee, I missed Nine Mile this year, I should mark it on my calendar for next year!".... don't bother. Just not worth it.
Still slated to hit St. Theresa's Fall Festival on Oct. 6th from 8AM-2PM (11528 SE US Hwy 301 in Belleview, FL 34420; phone 352-245-2458) to get our needlecrafted holiday and critter pins and hair elastics out there for you to enjoy. I'll be at Space 51, just look for the human dynamo in the blue gazebo EZ-Up tent. As usual, if you pay with your credit/debit card for the entire purchase, I'll take 10% off right then and there. Powered by the boys at Square.
Now for the bad, the good, and the great news...
BAD: As I may have mentioned in a previous post, it looks like I won't be able to continue needlecrafting due to an annoying carpal issue. I did try to make something and could only go for about 30 minutes before I had to stop for the day. So unfortunately there won't be any new cross-stitched critters.
GOOD: We've still got plenty of the pins and hair elastics on our Etsy store, grab them now before someone else does and use coupon code "DOGDAYS2012" at checkout for FREE SHIPPING!
GREAT: We're revamping the product lines with something that caters to our other expertise, which is woodcrafting. There's a lot of good wood that people throw away or plan to get rid of, and we rescue it, refurb it, and reuse it for our products. This helps us keep the environment healthier and the landfills smaller, we're all about that. Plus the wood is in really good, rustic-style condition, which gives us a lot of different possibilities. So by Friday we should have some really crazy stuff to offer that would be great for the holiday shopping people.
That's what we've been up to, and again we cannot thank you enough for all of your support. You are the main ingredient in our success soup, you make us get up in the morning and make stuff -- and WE LOVE IT! So feel free to drop me an email and let us know what you think.
Until next time, stay awesome!
